Davis is a 3-hour drive from DC and its major airports (IAD, DCA and BWI) and a 7-hour drive from NYC. The closest airport to Davis (CKB) offers nonstop flights to DC (IAD) but we are also planning to set up carpools from the DC area and maybe other locations, as needed. Please reach reach out and we will do everything we can to make the trip easy for you. Also, if you can offer a ride, let's talk!

We'll be staying in <a href="https://wvtourism.com/davis/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Davis</a>, a charming little town with plenty to see, eat, and do! The twin town of <a href="https://www.backpacker.com/trips/west-virginia-thomas-and-davis/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Thomas</a> is a short drive away, as are <a href="https://www.fs.usda.gov/r09/monongahela/recreation/dolly-sods-wilderness" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Dolly Sods Wilderness</a> and <a href="https://gettuckered.com/things-to-do/sightseeing/overlooks/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Blackwater Falls State Park</a>. During the day, grab some coffee and pastries at the hip <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tiptopcoffeeco/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">TipTop Coffee Shop</a>, or visit <a href="https://www.milosdavis.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Milo's</a> for classic breakfast and lunch fare or the <a href="https://bigbellydeliwv.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Big Belly Deli </a>for more indulgent options. Davis and Thomas also have several cute art galleries and shops to explore. For hiking and outdoor adventures, check out Blackwater State Park, including the <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/west-virginia/pase-point-trail" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pase Point Trail</a> where we got engaged &lt;3 (we'll organize a group hike there) and the <a href="https://www.theoutbound.com/west-virginia/chillin/hike-to-lindy-point-in-blackwater-falls-state-park" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lindy Point Trail</a>, which features breathtaking views at the end of an easy, short hike. The <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/west-virginia/bald-knob" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bald Knob Trail</a> in Canaan Valley offers sweeping views, plus a chairlift for those who prefer the bird's eye view. The <a href="https://www.backpacker.com/trips/trips-by-state/west-virginia-trails/the-best-hikes-in-the-dolly-sods/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Dolly Sods Wilderness Area</a> also has some great trails. And for the bravest adventurers among us, there's an unbelievable <a href="https://in4adventure.com/via-ferrata-at-nelson-rocks-west-virginia/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Via Ferrata Trail</a> in Nelson an hour away. In the evening, the Billy has some great food and drink options, or else you can head over to the <a href="https://purplefiddle.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Purple Fiddle</a> to enjoy some live music while you eat. The spot where we grabbed (admittedly mediocre) pizza after getting engaged &lt;3 is <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TheSiriannisPizzaCafe/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sirianni's</a>. Last but not least, don't miss the local brews at <a href="https://www.stumptownales.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Stumptown Ales</a>! We can't wait to show you this wonderful corner of West Virginia!
